Very good lesson.
I have just one question. Does “t” sounds like “t” when it comes before “r”? Doesn’t the sound change into something like “ch” in change? I’ve thought we should pronounce the t when it occurs with r like this “ch”.
Hi WOWskarphace,
No, I’m an American from NJ. Just trying to pick up Russian as a second language. The Slavic languages, such as Russian and Ukranian, are BRUTAL for an English speaker. I’m using both the Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur systems. -Brian
@briank4251 good luck with russian!!! this vid also helped me a lot. thanks jennifer!!!!

I DID NOT LEARN HOW TO ROLL MY TONGUE THIS DID NOT WORK pleeze dont give me a thunbs down, watch this video and see if you learn how to roll your tongue!!!!

Saying “President Ronald Reagan” was the big help. I also been repeating ‘group’ as ‘gl-loup’, and ‘crazy’ as ‘cr-lazy’. Practicing these words seem to work the best. (I’m ‘trying’ to learn Russian.)

Jennifer, have you ever tried to say the italian word “ramarro” (with the R as you have pronounced in the incorrect version of “President Ronald Reagan”)? You would say correctly, I suppose (and I think is very difficult for americans or english speaker in general)!
